Allergen Information

Indian takeaway dishes commonly contain or come into contact with allergens, including:

  • Milk — in creamy curries such as korma, tikka masala and butter chicken, and in naan and raita.
  • Nuts and peanuts — in dishes such as korma and pasanda, and in some desserts.
  • Gluten (wheat) — in naan, roti, samosas and bhajis.
  • Mustard, sesame, celery, soya, egg, fish, shellfish and others — depending on the recipe.

Menus on this site are provided by each takeaway and may not list every allergen. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, always contact the takeaway directly before ordering to confirm ingredients and preparation. Cross-contamination can occur in any kitchen.

In an emergency, call 999. For general advice, visit the Food Standards Agency at food.gov.uk.
